Almas Jiwani Foundation (AJF) President and CEO, Ms. Almas Jiwani, participated at the innovative Bed Talks event hosted by The Student Hotel and Make Amsterdam in Amsterdam. Ms. Jiwani shared her personal experiences and visions for a gender equal world, and was joined by other leading game changers in culture, social impact, business, science, education and sport.
“We were very excited that Almas Jiwani was able to join us at Bed Talks in The Student Hotel yesterday,” says Dylan Ingham, Creative Director and Partner at Make Amsterdam. “Her knowledge and understanding of female empowerment issues complemented and inspired not only the students and entrepreneurs attending the event but also the other speakers as well. We were delighted to host this wonderful lady and her positive, energizing spirit.”
Bed Talks is Europe’s freethinking event of the year, designed to facilitate dialogue and action amongst students, entrepreneurs, and change makers from around the world. “This idea outlines one of the pillars at AJF in bringing together a multiplicity of viewpoints and encouraging calls to action on our shared path to gender equality,” highlights Ms. Jiwani. “Women’s empowerment is the common denominator in solving many of today’s global issues. When women are empowered, their families, communities and nations thrive. There is no reason why we shouldn’t make women’s empowerment an international priority.”
“This forum was provided a unique platform to connect with a wide range of individuals passionate about social change and impact and share their personal experiences fighting for equal representation in a variety of arenas and spheres. One thing is clear, we must do more.”
