UN Women National Committee Canada President, Almas Jiwani, joined Montreal UNWNCC volunteers Celine Caira and Priyanka Biklani for the Annual World Partnership Walk, held at Parc Jean Drapeau in Montreal, Canada. Singer Belinda Brady performed at the walk raising awareness and funds to help end global poverty. Almas said, “I am very grateful for the opportunity presented to participate in the World Partnership Walk. It is remarkable how the Canadians never fail to step forward to help end global poverty. What a resounding success!” Ms. Jiwani and Belinda Brady participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony to launch the walk. Ms. Jiwani later presented the event organizers with a plaque of recognition for their efforts to help end global poverty, to close the event.
