Almas Jiwani to Address Gender Equality at the McGill Model United Nations Assembly 2016

Almas Jiwani Foundation President and CEO Almas Jiwani will address the students of McGill University on the topic of gender equality during a speech at McGill University January 27, and will participate at the Global Leadership Forum panel of the Model United Nations Assembly 2016 on January 28.

Gender equality is one of the single greatest tools we have to eradicating a wide range of global problems, including extreme poverty and food insecurity. For us to succeed and thrive as a global community, there is no question women must have an equal voice,” said Almas Jiwani. “This assembly is a unique opportunity to share some of my experiences globally fighting for equal representation in politics and business with the leaders of tomorrow. McMUN is the largest and most prestigious Model UN conference of its kind in Canada and ranks among the top academic events at McGill University. More than 1400 visiting delegates will attend the events in addition to 500 in-house students from McGill University.
