UN Women National Committee Canada President, Almas Jiwani, attended the Canada-China Entrepreneurs Alliance Association (CCEAA) Trade Summit and the second Outstanding Entrepreneurs Award Presentation Gala in Toronto, Ontario. The event brings together Canadian and Chinese entrepreneurs to advance Canada-China’s economic and trade development. The event was hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Toronto More than 700 enterprises participated in the summit, and 80 attended the Gala. Almas delivered a speech during the Award Presentation Gala, which highlighted the importance of advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment through the economic empowerment of women and girls.
