UN Women National Committee Canada President, Almas Jiwani, was invited to attend a reception in celebration of the 68th Anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. The reception was held at the residence of Her Excellency, Dienne H. Moehario, Ambassador of Indonesia to Canada. Approximately 150 honoured guests attended the reception, including ambassadors, diplomats, and key partners in South Asia. Her Excellency delivered a brief address acknowledging Indonesia’s progress in democratization, and upcoming partnerships with Canada. Senator Victor Oh, also delivered remarks.
