At the Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto, President of UN Women Canada, Almas Jiwani, hosted a luncheon to launch the UN Women’s Flagship Report: Progress of the World’s Women -‐ In Pursuit of Justice. In the fight for global equality, Jiwani is playing a huge part, including having recently spoken in front of an incredible one million women in Pakistan. The event included speeches from Jiwani, from Lisa Ray, and a panel discussion featuring Executive Vice President of English Services at CBC, Kirstine Stewart, author of the progress report Laura Turquet, Executive VP of International Progams for Plan Canada Dr. Tanjina Mirza and Councillor Mike Layton.
