In April 2011, Ms. Jiwani worked with Senator Mobina Jaffer to organize the UN Women Canada launch in Ottawa at the Canadian Parliament’s Aboriginal Room. At the UN Women Canada launch, Ms. Jiwani, Mr. Abraham Abraham, UNHCR Representative for Canada and a host of other government entities and public community brainstormed strategies for the future direction of UN Women.
